Where we Stem from

So here’s our back story…..With almost 20 years of combined hospitality experience myself and my partner Mitch created Stem, originally a bespoke wedding and event catering service, with a focus on gathering the freshest, local produce to create unique sharing-style menus. And just like that….Covid. Completely ruining the events industry, we decided to shake things up. It was a sad and tough decision, giving up something we had not so long ago created, but these times have reminded us we are constantly adapting! 
I now run the new version of Stem by myself whilst Mitch is getting stuck into some exciting projects of his own.
I make “no frills” antipasto boxes, and seasonal hand-crafted cocktails with a focus on New Zealand spirits for your get-togethers, larger functions or as gifts. 

Growing up in the UK and spending a lot of time in France when I was younger has made me enjoy simple, rustic style food packed full of flavour. Then since being in New Zealand for the past 6 years I’ve had the chance to work in some awesome award-winning bars and restaurants where sustainability, combined with New Zealand produce and what we can use from the land around us to create delicious cocktails has been the forefront of focus. 
So here we are, a fusion of those ideas, delivered straight to your door by me.

Stem,  boutique antipasto boxes delivered straight to your door. We can tailor a box specifically to your event, but note we only use the freshest, most seasonal produce so some ingredients will not be available all year round.
